Application Procedures

 

Membership Criteria

The NCCI is open to NGOs who fulfill the following criteria:
  • Are legally registered in their country of origin and in Iraq (proof of a pending registration is required).
  • Their NGO charter complies with the principles stated in the NCCI Charter, including the Code of Conduct for the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and NGOs in Disaster Relief.
  • Demonstrate proven humanitarian activity to the NCCI and the Board.
  • Are sponsored by two members of NCCI.
  • Are approved by two thirds of the Executive Board.
  • Are committed to the principles contained in this Charter.


NCCI’s Members Subscription

Organizations Monthly subscription NCCI in USD:
  • INGOs:  50
  • National NGOs:  20
  • All members are invited to pay 3 months subscription according to the prices above.

Joint Iraq Policy Brief: "Fallen Off the Agenda? More and Better Aid Needed for Iraq Recovery" - Mercy Corps and NCCI - July 2010
In order to effectively contribute to Iraq's recovery, the EU and its member states, including the UK, should acknowledge the need for more significant and longer-term commitment.  Furthermore, they should improve aid effectiveness by ensuring more direct participation of the Iraqi people in the recovery processes.
