Reviewing the Field Coordination Network in Central Iraq

NCCI’s Field Coordination Network (FCN) is a group of 25 local NGO partners who act as Focal Points (FP) in all of Iraq’s 18 governorates. The FCN aims to support field coordination efforts by providing regular information updates from every region in Iraq, including less accessible areas, thereby filing gaps in information sharing.

Currently NCCI is conducting a review of the Field Coordination Network. As part of this review, NCCI is holding regional meetings with the focal points in northern, central and southern Iraq. The meeting for central Iraq, the second of the three planned meetings, was held on the 10th of June in NCCI’s Baghdad office. The participants included focal points from national NGOs operating in the governorates of Baghdad, Anbar and Salah ad-Din. At the meeting the FCN annual work plan was reviewed, and the attendants discussed the development and strengthening of the network’s capacity. Another agenda point was improving the biweekly field reports.
