The NGO Coordination Committee for Iraq (NCCI) supervised and delivered capacity building and technical support to 27 NNGOs in 10 Iraqi Governorates, within the framework of the UNHCR National NNGOs Empowerment Project (NEP2014). Up to date, it has been decided to fund 20 NNGO projects for the benefit of UNHCR PoCs, especially Anbar IDPs. The projects’ implementation period will last from May 3rd to July 26th, 2014. The projects will benefit 3429 displaced persons directly and 4000 indirectly. The projects will focus on different issues under the training and learning for self- reliance and sustainable livelihoods and peaceful co-existence with local communities. On top of executing these planned projects,  the partner NNGOs also started to send comprehensive information about displaced people in the different governorates, which is very useful for updating IDP numbers during this emergency situation.
