War Child is a international Non-Governmental organization founded in the UK in 1993 which provides assistance to children in areas experiencing conflict and the aftermath of conflict. War Child UK work with local communities, their organizations and local authorities in both conflict and post-conflict areas to support children and the people they depend upon. Ensuring sustainable security for children, promoting child supportive livelihood opportunities. Addressing the developmental needs of the most vulnerable and marginalized children. War Child UK is working in Iraq to provide support to conflict affected children in Baghdad, Anbar and Dhouk.
War Child UK is part of consortium “North-Iraq Joint Response Program” (NIJR 2) which aims to respond to conflict affected IDPs in northern Iraq. This project is supporting vulnerable IDP children with psychosocial support, education and child protection services.
