NRC - Mosul Response To Date - December 20, 2016

Rapid Response Mechanism:

  • NRC distributed eight RRM kits for eight families who recently arrived to Dibaga camp
  • NRC provided 1173 RRM kits for 1065 families in Khazer camp2

Education:

  • 1240 students participated in 108 catch up classes at NRC’s School Support Centre in Khazer camp1
  • 577 students joined in 54 recreational activities at NRC’s School Support Centre in Khazer camp1
  • Enrolment to date: 1535 individuals in NRC’s School Support Centre in Hasan-Sham camp1
  • 1467 students participated in 90 catch up classes at NRC’s School Support Centre in Hasan Sham camp1 
  • 1332 students joined in 54 recreational activities at NRC’s School Support Centre in Hasan Sham camp1

CASH:

  • In Erbil area 1400 beneficiaries in Badawa, Binslawa, Turaq and Tobzawa received cash assistance in second round of distribution. 
  • 334 Families have been assessed for cash assistance in Qayyarah

NRC’s work in Kirkuk

Gender-Based Violence (GBV) prevention and response:

  • Through 2 sessions, the GBV team in Nazrawa camp in coordination with International Relief and Development(IRD) conducted psychosocial support(PSS) activities for 96 women
  • 15 women and girls attended the awareness sessions about importance of education in Nazrawa camp
  • In Laylan camp, the GBV team in coordination with International Relief and Development (IRD) conducted psychosocial support (PSS) activities for 64 women
  • In Laylan camp, 107 women attended awareness session about education and breathing and stress reduction techniques
  • In Daquq camp, the GBV team arranged (PSS) activities for 36 women
  • The GBV team conducted introduction session in Panja Ali
  • In Yahyawa camp, literacy courses delivered to 98 women by GBV team 
  • In Laylan camp, the GBV team organized different sport activities for 107 men and boys
  • 58 men participated in language courses in Daquq camp
  • 82 males attend awareness session about education in Laylan camp
