Thursday a special day for “Cash for Work” beneficiaries
Thursday is considered a special day for women benefiting from the project “Cash for Work”, which is part of the activities of the project “Strengthening the resilience of Syrian women and girls and host communities in Iraq”, implemented with the support of UN Women and the European Trust Fund (Madad).
Once a week, the 24 women beneficiaries of gather in the Women Support Center in Mosul to meet in a friendly environment with TAJDID social researchers who ask them about their life and challenges they face at the personal, family or professional levels with the aim of extending any help possible to them.
Thursday is also the day when these women get their weekly wages. It is the time to see smiles on their faces. “We can see the pride in their eyes after obtaining their payments that they got in return for their hard work,” TAJDID employees remark, feeling as proud and as happy as these beneficiaries because of their positive contributions to the lives of these women.
