 SI is currently implementing a Wash project in Hamam Al Alil in response to Mosul crisis.  This project aim at supporting conflict affected populations in Ninewa governorate, IDP’s and host communities and is only dedicated to humanitarian purpose. SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL is funded by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Centre de crise et de soutien), for duration of 3 Months. Over the month of May, the displacement from West Mosul has continued at an increased pace, with an average of 5,000 people fleeing every day. Thousands of men, women, children and elderly people transit through Hammam Al-alil screening sites before moving to camps or relocating in off-camp locations. Their needs in terms of water, food, shelter, non-food items, and protection, are very high. During May ACTED, liaising with the other humanitarian partners and the coordinating structures in the country, has actively participated in the Mosul emergency response through the provision of multi-sectorial support to vulnerable IDPs fleeing the city. Throughout Kuwait by your side campaign, and funded by The United  Kuwait for Relief, under the supervision of his Excellency Kuwait's ambassador in Iraq Salem Al Zamanan besides Kuwait’s embassy  in Iraq, and under supervision of civilian crisis management cell in the office of Iraqi Prime Minister and implementation by UIMS (United Iraqi Medical Society For Relief &Development), It was distributed 2800 food parcel for the IDPs in Al-Rasheedya district at the left side in Ninawa.

Each conflict has left its scars, both visible and invisible.   When Islamic State (IS) took control of Anbar governorate in 2014, thousands of people fled their homes.
